HBO’s 24/7 is back, this time following the Floyd Mayweather/Victor Oritz fight. It’s a fantastic show, and this past weekend’s first episode was spectacular (especially the ending). The series has been so good for so long, I’ve never understood how Showtime would ever compete with it.
The video above shut me up. In a sage move, Showtime’s Fight Camp 360, a fine series in it’s own right, did what no other boxing documentary series has done yet - shoot an episode around the fight.
If you saw the Pacquiao/Mosley fight (and I know my Filipino followers did), then you have to watch this video, for what you didn’t see on pay per view (if you haven’t seen it already).
Shane Mosley begging his corner to stop the fight
Manny getting his gear blessed by a priest (you know the stuff he wears when he fights people for a living)
LL Cool J and Jamie Foxx kidding themselves
Shane’s foot at 12:20
Manny admitting he begged Shane to hit him so the fight would be more entertaining
